How does skin tightening treatment work?

BEFORE TREATMENT

  • 1. Am I a good candidate for this treatment? / Will this treatment work for me?

    The best candidate is someone who has cellulite and/or excess body fat that they can't eliminate with diet and exercise alone, and who doesn't want to undergo surgery. An ideal candidate is also someone who is beginning to lose skin elasticity and shows early signs of sagging and wrinkles.


    For safety reasons, you may not be able to receive this treatment if you have/are:


    • Active inflammation and/or infection in the treatment area.
    • Current cancer or a history of cancer.
    • A degenerative neurological disease or any other condition around the treatment area that is triggered by heat (e.g., herpes).
    • An internal defibrillator/pacemaker.
    • Metallic implants (excluding dental) in the area to be treated.
    • Uncontrolled thyroid gland disorder.
    • Varicose veins.
    • Pregnancy or undergoing an IVF procedure.
    • Autoimmune skin-related diseases.
    • Silicone implants and/or injections in the area.

  • 2. I have darker skin, can I have this treatment?

    Yes. The Venus Legacy™ radiofrequency skin tightening treatment uses technology that is safe for all skin tones, even the darkest.

  • 3. Can I do it during my lunch break?

    Of course. Exact treatment times may vary depending on the patient, but a single session usually lasts no more than 45 minutes.

  • 4. How many sessions will I need to see results?

    Most patients receive between 8 and 10 skin tightening procedures per area. The exact number will depend on the individual and the area being treated.

  • 5. How often and at what intervals should treatments be performed?

    The treatments are performed once a week.

  • 6. Should I do anything to prepare for the treatment?

    Just make sure your skin is clean. Don't apply lotions, creams, or makeup before the treatment. Remove all jewelry from around the treatment area.

DURING TREATMENT

  • 1. How long does a treatment session last?

    Each session lasts 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area to be treated.

  • 2. How does the treatment feel?

    The applicator will heat up slowly until your skin reaches the required temperature and remains within that temperature range. But if you feel it's too hot, simply let the operator know, and they can easily lower the temperature. If the technician is using the VariPulse™ feature, you will also feel a gentle suction on your skin, like a very low-power vacuum, as the applicator moves around the area. This can also be lowered if needed.

  • 3. Will it be painful?

    Venus Legacy™ treatments are comfortable. The heat and suction levels can be easily adjusted to suit your needs.

AFTER TREATMENT

  • 1. Do I need to do anything after the treatment?

    No, you don't need to do anything after the treatment.

  • 2. How long do the results last and are they permanent?

    The treatments are cumulative. After the last treatment, the results will continue to improve for 3 to 4 months. After that, the face and body will continue to age, so maintenance is recommended once a month or every 3 to 4 months, depending on the individual.

  • 3. Is there really no downtime?

    No recovery time is required. The treated area may appear slightly red and warm to the touch, but this will subside within 1 to 2 hours. You can resume your daily routine immediately after treatment.

  • 4. Do I need to do anything after the treatment?

    No, you don't need to do anything after the treatment.

  • 5. Can I apply makeup or lotion immediately after the treatment?

    Yes, you can apply makeup and/or lotion immediately after the treatment.
